Assessment of Complex Applications

The Brabantse Delta Water Authority assesses complex permit applications from large industrial companies. These companies have significant social and environmental impacts, making careful evaluation and robust regulations essential.

Cantech supports the water authority in the substantive assessment of these applications. We conduct GAM and emission tests, evaluate discharges against WFD substances and SVHC policies, and assess whether companies comply with the requirements of Best Available Techniques (BAT). Based on this, we draft appropriate regulations and provide advice on permit issuance.

Our efforts result in permits that are technically and legally well-founded. This strengthens the quality of decisions, enables effective enforcement, and contributes to responsible and sustainable water management within the water authority’s jurisdiction.
